Infotech Research has been engaged by Horticulture Australia Limited (HAL) to conduct free energy audits for levy paying vegetable growers around Australia. There are a limited number of free audits available to Victorian growers, so be quick to take up this great offer. The audits will be conducted by trained auditors and identify energy efficiency improvement opportunities for individual growers and the wider vegetable industry.
Participating growers will be advised of their significant on-farm energy costs, opportunities to reduce consumption and ways to lower the ‘carbon content’ in their produce. To qualify for a free audit you will need to provide accurate information on energy and water consumption over the past 1-2 years, as well as your major business activities. This data will be kept confidential.
HAL have also commissioned two further energy efficiency projects to identify opportunities for vegetable growers and assess the potential for different forms of on-site power generation :
