VGA President, Luis Gazzola has received the Lifetime Achievement Award for services to the Vegetable Industry over more than half a century. The award was presented to Luis by AUSVEG Chairman John Brent, before an audience of his peers at the AUSVEG National Awards for Excellence, held at Jupiters Gold Coast Casino on Saturday May 29. Luis credits his achievement to the fantastic support of his wife Gloria and children Paul, Colin, Andrew and Angela. As VGA President since 2004, Luis has directed his talents to building a strongly united vegetable industry.
AUSVEG Communications Manager, Hugh Tobin, said that “Mr Gazzola is a wonderful example of what can come from hard work and a commitment to best practice and innovation.” “Luis’ service to the community, in growing and supplying vegetable over many decades is to be commended and I can’t think of a more deserving winner of this prestigious award “, Mr Tobin said.
