R&D Project Design Teams

Vegetable Levy Payers who have an interest in developing R&D projects, are invited to register their interest in serving on a R&D design team.

The Design Teams:

  • Guide Vegetable R&D Levy spending through the development and assessment of R&D project concepts.
  • Review tender submissions and recommend preferred service providers.

The Market and Value Chain Development Design Team determine how the industry R&D program can help to open new markets and expand existing markets for Australian vegetables and to help growers add value to their business in domestic and export markets.”

The Farm Productivity, Resource Use and Management Design Team, focus on what research is needed to give growers the tools to improve on-farm production efficiencies. The team considers issues such as the rising costs of inputs such as labour, variable climates, water and soil shortages, and emerging pests and diseases.

The list of requirements for each Design Team can be obtained from AUSVEG, however it is important for growers to be involved in determining how their R&D levy is spent.

Individuals who wish to be considered for appointment should enclose a resumê with their application demonstrating their ability to undertake the role :
