Cucumber Mosaic Virus is a disease that can infect
many hundreds of plant species.

It will cause symptoms on
spinach, lettuce, cucurbits and capsicums as well
as many hundreds of ornamental and weed
species.

The Virus:

    • Affects a wide range of vegetables and weeds

    • Causes distortions and discolouration of fruit and leaves

    • Is spread by aphids

    • Controlled by planting resistant varieties

    • Reduce spread by controlling weeds

    • Plants that are not hosts offer a barrier to the virus
