Join this informative and interactive one-hour lunchtime session to get the latest updates from vegetable industry experts, including a VegNET extension practitioner, researcher and grower/agronomist.

Chemicals play an important role in vegetable production and are regularly used to control insect pests, diseases and weeds. When applying chemicals, aim to maximise the amount reaching the target and minimise the amount reaching off-target areas. To maximise spray efficiency, spray droplets must be uniformly distributed on a target surface with minimum losses due to drift, evaporation or run-off. Poor spray application techniques can result in reduced control of pests, yield reduction, wasted chemicals, and lower returns to the grower.

You can watch a video with spray application technology expert Scott Mathew and vegetable grower, Scott Samwell demonstrating the fundamentals in effective spray application for vegetable growers, here.
