Vital Vegetables win 2009 DPI Science Award

VVMP and Clause Pacific joined with their research partners to turn laboratory science into vegetables which deliver heath benefits over and above other currently available commercial products.

The first vegetable to be launched, ‘Booster Broccoli’, has been naturally grown to be richer in beneficial nutrients and antioxidants, with follow up products now being developed.

The world-first breakthrough will enable the vegetable industry to produce higher value products which enhance the wellbeing of consumers in Victoria and around the world.

The Award ceremony was held at the Art Centre in Melbourne on Tuesday, 24 November, 2009.
