Young Leaders 2012

This is a great opportunity for any young grower wanting to develop their skills, ability and understanding of how to make a positive impact in their business and their industry.

Previous participants have all said that the program had been a very worthwhile and educational experience, and an opportunity to build networks with like-minded young growers interstate.

The 9 day course is split into 3 sessions over 6 months and includes:

  • Skill development sessions in key leadership areas – communication, conflict management, team building, personalities, networking and effective discussions and meetings.
  • Guest speakers on current and relevant industry issues.
  • Industry functions – tours and industry dinners, including the AUSVEG Conference in Hobart.

6 – 8 March                 Melbourne
8 – 10 May                  Hobart
21 – 23 August           Canberra

Participants gain the confidence to be leaders both in the workplace and in industry.  They learn how to deal with a variety of people, resolve issues and communicate effectively.
