AUSVEG VIC is running a hands-on Energy Efficiencies Workshop that will give growers practical skills to take back to their business and implement to make decisions to cut power bills.

The workshop is designed around the common outcomes of growers who participated in the Sustainability Victoria project that AUSVEG VIC has been running for the past 18 months.
Growers will be given a number of takeaways on the day to implement into their business to asses their energy bills and asses the opportunities that are available in the market.

Topics for the workshop will include and are not limited to:

  • Network Tariffs
  • Retailer Incentives
  • Interval data access and comparisons
  • Tariff structure and how that affects energy efficiency and solar
  • Importance of tracking kWh and $ figures for each electricity bill

An example from the Sustainability Victoria Project – pitt&sherry assessed companies energy bill and in this case determined a business was on an incorrect tariff. The outcome of this pitt&sherry saved this company over $40,000 off their yearly power bill.
