Know what to if you find clubroot :

  • Have your diagnosis confirmed by an expert.
  • Do not attempt to treat affected seedlings.
  • Discard clubroot infected seedlings by burning or disposal in an industrial landfill.

Treating plants with a fungicide may reduce the symptoms of clubroot but will not kill the disease once it has established itself on the roots.

  • Increase the frequency of sampling.
  • Do not sell any plants from trays where clubroot is identified.
  • Seek assistance to identify and eliminate likely sources of contamination.

The Department of Primary Industries and Crop Health Services can provide positive identification of clubroot. The contact number is 03 9210 9222.
