AUSVEG VIC is the State Industry Representative Body for Victorian vegetable and potato growers. With a century of experience and a deep understanding of the industry, we are committed to advocating for growers at all levels of government and delivering essential programs like the renowned Vegetable Innovation Days.
Established in 1923 as the Vegetable Growers Association of Victoria (VGA), AUSVEG VIC proudly celebrates 100 years of supporting and representing Victorian growers in 2023. Over the decades, we’ve evolved and grown alongside the industry, ensuring that growers have a strong, unified voice.
AUSVEG VIC membership is free for all Victorian vegetable growers, enabling us to represent 100% of the vegetable production in the state. By partnering with us, growers empower AUSVEG VIC to continue advocating on their behalf and shaping the future of the industry.

Victorian growers must now follow updated Tomato Potato Psyllid (TPP) market access rules, including Queensland’s acceptance of leafy vegetables and herbs under PS-60 with a transition period until 12 December. ICA-61 has also been updated to Version 1.1, introducing revised washing, inspection, and secure-pack requirements. This update summarises the latest interstate movement conditions and accreditation steps growers need to maintain market access.
If you're a farmer, horticultural worker, apprentice or student using a machete for genuine agricultural tasks (such as harvesting, sapling maintenance or crop work), you do not need to apply an automatic exemption applies.
