2025 Awards For Excellence nomination form

The AUSVEG VIC Awards for Excellence 2025 will be presented on Saturday 3rd May at the Rydge’s, Melbourne.

The Awards for Excellence are a fantastic way to acknowledge and recognise the outstanding contributions of individuals and companies to industry.

Nominations are being sought for the following categories.

1 Grower of the year
  • A vegetable or potato grower that is outstanding across all aspects of vegetable production, including growing, environmental management, staff management and product quality. 
  • A grower that is innovative, challenges convention and implements efficientpractices (such as integrated pest management, minimising wastage, water conservation, precision agriculture, technology advances, and value-adding to product).
  • A grower who actively contributes to the broader industry (such asparticipating in international R&D tours, industry committees, forums,conferences or field days).

2 Young grower of the year
  • A vegetable or potato grower who shows excellent business acumen and innovation and has applied it on-farm and in thewider farming community when practicable.
  • A grower that demonstrates a high level of commitment to the industry, possibly illustrated through involvement in off-farmactivities, participation as a member of industry groups/committeesor in community activities (such as Landcare).

3 Community Stewardship Award
  • An individual or business that is proactive in developing and/or implementing a system or program of safe storage and use ofon-farm materials above and beyond industry standards.
