The 2020 East Gippsland Vegetable Innovation Days (EGVID 2020) received the R&D Adoption and Industry Impact Award at the 2021 AUSVEG VIC Awards for Excellence.
This accolade – sponsored by VegNET Victoria (Northern, Western and South-Eastern) and VegNET Gippsland since 2017 – highlights the important role of research and development (R&D) in supporting the profitability, productivity and sustainability of the vegetable industry.
EGVID 2020 successfully transitioned from a face-to-face field day to a virtual event to connect vegetable growers in Australia and around the world to the latest advancements in agrichemical and seed trials.
